For the first time, Clive Witham LAc MSc OMBAcC is presenting a Gua sha for Practitioners workshop in the UK.
Clive is a UK-trained acupuncturist and health educator and the author of best-selling Oriental medicine books published in 5 languages (Gua sha: A Complete Self-treatment Guide, The Book of Oriental Medicine and Facial Gua sha). He has had a clinic in North Africa for 10 years where he refined a unique style of Gua sha which combines classical ideas of Chinese medicine with efficient clinical practice.
He will present his unique style of Gua sha, show you how to perform it, how to understand it, how to treat ailments and how to be safe. You will exclusively learn new things from Clive's third book (it's not even out yet!) and many things you definitely won't hear elsewhere. And you will get to practise and then practise some! In my clinic in North Africa, I specialised in treating chronic illness with a range of techniques from acupuncture, cupping, moxa, massage, herbs and foot soaks, but one thing which we discovered was that Gua sha scraping was remarkably effective. Patients were improving and new patients were coming because of the Gua sha treatment. My books have therefore focused on Gua sha because, despite there being endless Youtube videos and websites on Gua sha, very few people really know how to use it.
Over the years, I've experimented clinically, integrated classical Chinese medicine ideas and combined with Holographic Gua sha to create a style of Gua sha which is quite unique. This workshop is designed to show you how to use my particular style of Gua sha to get great results, to have a powerful tool in your tool chest and to attract new clients/patients. This, of course, means you earn the cost of this course back within weeks!
